
About Sultan JAMAL
Jamal was born in Casablanca Morocco and moved to New York City at the age of 13.
He started learning Ballet and Jazz dance at a young age of 5 in Casablanca Morocco. He furthered his dance education at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre specialising in Ballet and Pas de Deux(lifts and tricks), Jazz, Modern (Martha Graham), and African when he moved to New York City and eventually went on and joined Alivin Ailey's second company and that was when his dance career started! Along the years, Jamal has had many years of experience in dancing and performing all over the world such as New York City, Las Vegas, Japan, Thailand, Philipine, Singapore, Morrocco as well as on cruises.
Jamal is certified as Zin Zumba fitness and Aqua Zumba Instructor and has been teaching in USA, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine and Morroco.
Jamal has discovered his passion for salsa many years ago. He has been inspired by the world famous Mambo King "Eddie Torres", Jamal start developing his passion for dancing “On 2" and had Extensively trained in New York City by Eddie Torres and also worked on the Salsa Performance for the New York Salsa Congress Challenge 2015 with "Osmar Perrones" from Yamulee Professional Dance Company as well as "Joe Burgos" Piel Canela Dance & Music School for Salsa performance at Medison Square Garden
What really makes Jamal unique is his dance style. He combines all his knowledge of various dance techniques from his academic dancing background and experiences to create his own signature salsa dancing style which portrays him as one of a good salsa dancer and mentor.
For last past few years, Jamal have performed Salsa and taught Salsa On1, lifts tricks and dips, and Salsa Cardio at international professional level in Singapore Salsa Festival (ACEKI) 2014, Cebu Salsa Festival (ACEKI) 2014 in Philippine, and Bangkok Salsa Festival 2014.
Also his amazing presence on the dance floor and his outgoing, energetic personality has also been instrumental in getting him known in the Salsa World.
